With the national football championship behind us, it's time to announce our Roice-Hurst Humane Society MVPs (Most Virtuous Pups). They would love to have a family to team up with. Plus, they have a special secret to help you save on adoption fees.

I'll get to the secret savings code in a moment. Meantime, here's a clue. It has something to do with last Sunday's Superbowl.

  • Tigger

5-Year-Old Male Cur, Black Mouth Mix

Tigger is one of those dogs that just seems to be happy all the time. He can easily cheer you up when you're feeling blue. He also loves to be outside playing and running. Tigger does great with other dogs, but he's definitely not a cat person.. er, dog. He's also been known to escape unless he's in a secured fenced yard.

  • Lobo

2-Year-Old Male Terrier, Stafford Bull/Retriever, Labrador

Lobo is full of energy and needs a home with people who can give him plenty of attention and exercise. He has some separation anxiety, so discuss that with the RHHS staff for the details. Lobo is a good jumper so you'll need a yard with a nice tall fence. A family with another dog he could play with would make him happy.

  • Harper

5-Year-Old Male Terrier, American Pit Bull/Mix

Harper is a laid-back dog who loves people, including children. He is crate trained. However, he is not fond of other dogs or cats. Harper's ideal home would be with a loving family where he is the only pet.
