Colorado Shuts Down Hair and Nail Salons, Tattoos and Massages
More state-mandated closures came down late Thursday afternoon to help stem the spread of the coronavirus.
The Colorado State Department of Public Health and Environment imposed immediate restrictions on non-essential personal services including hair salons, nail salons, spas, barbershops, tattoo shops, and massage parlors.
All of the restrictions imposed by the state are in effect, at this point, until April 30 including the closures of gyms, bars, casinos, and the banning of on-site dining at restaurants.
In addition to these latest restrictions, Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed an order suspending elective and nonessential surgeries, and procedures. That executive order, in effect March 23 through April 14, will help ensure hospitals have the necessary equipment and resources to treat possible cases of COVID-19.
