A quick trip down memory lane. Fun Junction officially closed September 6, 1999. Here's a News Channel 5 story with Bob Guyton and some residents' reactions. What a sad day.

We all know the story of how it all started with a miniature golf course in 1954 with Bob Guyton and his wife Maebeth. It grew into six acres of memories for generations of visitors for more than 40 years.

Some favorites:

  • Rock-O-Plane
  • The Rotor
  • Ferris Wheel
  • Tilt-A-Whirl
  • The Yo-Yo
  • Mini-Golf
  • Skee-Ball
  • Scrambler

Where else could you THAT much fun and have that many things to see and do for a 50 cent cover? People came from all over to enjoy this awesome place. From Denver to Salt Lake City to Moab. Guyton's Fun Junction was a destination.

Can you drive past 29 Road and North Avenue without shedding a tear? Can you still see it? All the rides and the games. How about the smells? Or the sounds?
