Did you know that Colorado is the home for, not just one but two professional lacrosse teams?

One of the teams is known as the Colorado Mammoth, which is a member of the National Lacrosse League.

The other team is the Denver Outlaws, a member of Major League Lacrosse. And, for the first time in team history, the Denver Outlaws will host a home playoff game this weekend.

Denver will face the New York Lizards in a playoff game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The winner of this game will advance to the championship game August 23, either against the Ohio Machine or the Rochester Rattlers.

The Outlaws normally play their home games at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, but due to a small conflict (known as the Broncos preseason), this weekend’s playoff game will be played at the University of Denver’s Barton Lacrosse Stadium.

Tickets for this weekend’s Denver Outlaws playoff game will be made available to the public at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.
