CSU Wide Receiver Warren Jackson Forgoing Final Season of Eligibility

In the wake of the Colorado State University football season's (and the entire Mountain West conference's) postponement, wide receiver Warren Jackson is making big moves for his future football career.

Jackson released a statement on Sunday, August 16 announcing that he is going to spend his time training to play professional football.

The statement, thanks to a press release from Colorado State University Athletics, reads:

“To my family, my teammates, coaches, staff, and the fans, thank you for the love and passion you have shown me during my time wearing the green and gold,” Jackson said, in part of a statement posted to his social media channels. “It has been an honor to play alongside you, play for you, and represent our university over the years. I have grown so much as a man and as a football player during my time in Fort Collins, and for that, I will be forever grateful.”

Head football coach Steve Addazio says that he and the rest of the team fully support Jackson's decision. The player, who has an impressive record of "1,789 yards on 124 receptions and 14 touchdowns" according to the press release, all in 33 games for CSU, has a bright future ahead of him.
