Three Wonderful Historical Hotels on Colorado’s Western Slope
The Hotel Colorado is by far one of my favorite places to escape. As I travel back and forth to the front range and I pass the exit to Glenwood my vehicle wants to veer towards the Historical Hotel Colorado.
If I only had the time to enjoy the wonderful experience like I’ve done for most of my life, I would. As I keep on driving, I think about a few other getaways that I’ve enjoyed disappearing to even if it’s a quick trip. These hotels can rejuvenate your soul! I think I need to do a day trip sooner rather than later
Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs
If you need to decompress this is your place. It’s peaceful, and the glorious Hot Springs are right across the street, or you can take advantage of the incredible Yampah Spa just down the street. It’s to die for!
The Strater Hotel in Durango
This lovely hotel is hard simply gorgeous! It’s not that far away, approximately three and a half hours. Some of my favorite memories come from this hotel and Durango. If you’re looking for a cool, quick vacation take the kids to Durango and enjoy the Strater experience.
What a charming beauty this old Victorian Hotel is. Love it here. Excellent place to relax and really vacation without the worry of being on the go. It kind of feels like you are going back in time at the Historical Western Hotel.
