Western Colorado High School Football Games Begin Friday
The high school football season will officially kick off later this week, and Grand Junction High School will be the first Mesa County team to take the field.
With the Southwestern League now defunct, the Grand Junction Tigers will make their debut this weekend in the South Metro League.
Other area teams will also make their debuts into other leagues as well – Fruita Monument in the Continental North, Montrose into the Foothills League, and Central moves into the Western Slope League as well as into Class 3A.
