The construction of the Las Colonias Amphitheater in Grand Junction may seem like a long slow process, but you can see quick progress via this amazing time lapse video.

Construction of the new outdoor venue began in October and is expected to be completed this fall and will be an incredible addition to the Grand Junction Parks system.

The amphitheater includes a 40 x 60 stage with a green room, side wings, parking, and a sloped lawn for seating, sitting on 130 acres along the Riverside Parkway next to the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens.

The park is already being used by bikers and walkers along the river, and there is a nice shelter available for picnics by reservation. It won't be long until we can all enjoy this great new facility.
