Mikaela Shiffrin is from Vail and is one of the best skiers in the entire world -- and she's only 24. She's the youngest person to ever win an Olympic gold medal in slalom, she's a three-time Olympic medalist and has countless awards and has set numerous world records.

Mikaela bought her first home in Edwards, Colorado and her family lives there with her. She said she's only home two months out of the year and wanted to make sure to spend time with them. Her home is a combination of modern meets rustic.

She designed everything in her home from the flooring to the bathtub to the quartzite kitchen island. Her kitchen island even illuminates, which she says reminds her of the ice she's constantly skiing on. Mikaela said she started with the kitchen island and got everything to match that.

The reclaimed wood in her house in 100 years old and comes from Austria. Which is significant to Mikaela because of she skis there so much. Mikaela has a huge bathroom with a gigantic shower and bathtub.

Inside of Miakeal's enormous walk-in closet, there are lots of Olympics medals and rings. She has awards decking her entire house and plans to keep adding to her collection. Mikaela was the first skier to get a $1 million paycheck and she says it's really special to participate in a sport where men and woman get paid equally.
