The annual Stuff the Bus campaign to collect school supplies for Mesa County schools, teachers, and kids was a huge success.

For a month, we have had a Student Transportation of America school bus inside Mesa Mall and people have been filling it with school supplies. Additionally, we have had various drop-off locations and live remotes reaching out to the community for donations.

Monday was the unstuffing day at the mall, and all I can say is "wow". We had a ton of school supplies in the bus, and some great volunteers helped us get them all sorted and boxed and ready to go to our Mesa County schools and into the hands of some kids in need.

It has been a great community effort with the school district, Mesa Mall, our great sponsors and our listeners. We are so grateful for our Stuff the partners that enable us to carry on the annual tradition we started some 20 years ago. This year's partners included Mesa Mall, Mesa County School District 51, St. Mary's Bloodmobile, Village Inn, All Copy Products, and Western Rockies Federal Credit Union.

The number of donations this year was at least double what it was a year ago. Way to go Grand Junction!
