Rocky Mountain National Park Turned 106 on Tuesday
While this last year was an unusual one for Rocky Mountain National Park (COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and Colorado's two largest wildfires, all at once), on Tuesday, it turned 106. President Woodrow Wilson established the park on January 26, 1915.
For its birthday, the park got a few inches of fresh snow, and great sledding conditions. Rocky Mountain National Park tweeted that there was 26 inches of snow total at Bear Lake on Tuesday, and advised that visitors have four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
