No Coast Sushi has announced the permanent closing of its Fruita location.

Friday, August 26 will be the last day of business for No Coast Sushi in Fruita, however, the Grand Junction location will remain open, serving lunch and dinner.

Co-owner  Lisa Boyd said a lack of consistent business at the Fruita location is the reason for the closure.

We have been very blessed for over two years; our community has been very supportive and we have an excellent crew, but it’s just not enough.

No Coast Sushi in Fruita opened its doors in February 2014 and  won numerous awards, including the New Horizon Business of the Year Award, and was recognized for the past two years by the Mesa County Health Department as Partners in Food Safety.

It's always sad to see a local business close down. We thank No Coast Sushi for two great years in Fruita and wish continued success to the Grand Junction location.
