The new year brings a new National Western Stock Show to the Colorado complex of the same name as well as droves of animals and people in the form of attendees.

However, this year's stock show will be a little different than the last as in addition to the usual cows, pigs, and other barnyard animals, one of the most adorable breeds of sheep in the world adds another level of cuteness to the event.

Named for its all-black head, the Valais Blacknose is unique in that both male and female specimens, also known as rams and ewes, respectively, have horns.

Per usual, other types of animals will be shown at the National Western Stock Show including alpaca, bison, goats, llamas, dogs, and swine, with plenty of fun activities for the entire family like mutton bustin', pony rides, a petting zoo, sheep shearing, and line dancing.

The event will also feature a number of shows featuring tricks from barnyard animals and domesticated dogs, as well as numerous rodeos.

Check out the entire list of events and find further details about the Valais Blacknose sheep as well as all of the other fun attractions featured at the 2025 National Western Stock Show by visiting the show's official website.
