Like any other state, Colorado has the full gamut of towns and cities from the most fun to the least fun and everywhere in between. However, based on the overall fun-loving attitude of many Coloradans, it should go without saying that the Centennial State should naturally rank higher on the list than many of its neighboring states.

With 2024 bidding farewell soon, a new study conducted by WalletHub has been released ranking a total of 182 cities across the country from the most fun to the least and while three Colorado cities landed on the list, some may argue against the accuracy of the results.

How Much Fun are Colorado's Largest Cities?

Colorado's three largest cities, Denver, Colorado Springs, and Aurora, were all included in the study with Denver scoring 13 out of 182, Colorado Springs scoring 70 out of 182, and Aurora landing fairly close to the bottom of the barrel with a score of 130.

For reference, the study listed the most fun city as Las Vegas, followed by Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and New Orleans.

Just below Denver, the cities of Portland, Cincinnati, and Honolulu are ranked 14, 15, and 16, respectively.

A different Portland, the one in Maine, ranked just above Colorado Springs at number 69 while the Olympic City narrowly beat out Baltimore at number 71.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is how much lower Aurora was ranked compared to Colorado Springs, a city that unapologetically carries the unofficial slogan of "Keep Colorado Springs Lame," which landed between Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Lubbock, Texas.

However, all three Colorado cities scored higher on the fun scale than Yonkers, New York, South Burlington, Vermont, and surprisingly, Pearl City, Hawaii.
