Yes, AI is now assisting the folks at Sam's Club as they check out your receipts and items before allowing you to exit. Hopefully, these scanners will not be nearly as rude as all the check-out assistants in grocery stores that belittle you to "return your item to the bagging area".
How Many Sam's Club Stores Are in Colorado?
The state of Colorado is home to seventeen Sam's Club locations which are found in Denver (2), Aurora (2), Arvada, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Evans, Fountain, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Littleton, Lone Tree, Longmont, and Thornton.
Scan and Go AI at Sam's Club Stores in Colorado
Customers asked for a faster checkout experience, and Sam's Club answered with more AI. Sam's Club is a members-only warehouse club retail outlet owned by Walmart Inc. In recent years, a customer's biggest complaint was the time it took to complete the checkout process and leave the store. Once shoppers finished paying, they would have to let a Sam's Club employee review their receipt at the door, which most feel is inconvenient.

Sam's Club Says Scan & Go AI Will Shave Shoppers Time
The warehouse chain announced recently that they will install equipment for AI to scan your items when you exit the store. Sam's Club says they will outfit nearly 20% of their 599 locations, with more scanners added to additional stores by the end of the year.
Sam's Club says you'll be able to exit the store 23% faster by letting AI scan your shopping cart vs. the traditional way with another person double-checking your purchases.
