These Donuts Are Amazing

Earlier today I stopped by and purchased several donuts, most for me, and a few for the crew at the studio. They are amazing. Looking at the receipt, these special donuts run $1.75 each. Of that $1.75, half will go to an employee battling cancer.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The 31 days of October are a great opportunity to get involved in the battle According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation:

For the 31 days of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), pink ribbons appear as the impact of breast cancer is brought to the forefront of national conversation.

But we know that to help those facing breast cancer, awareness alone isn’t enough. This October, get involved. Get screened. Make a donation. Take action. Make this BCAM about more than awareness.

Downtown Grand Junction Businesses of Yesterday

If you stop and think about it, several of the business pictured above are still up and running. Most of these photos were taken in the 1950s. Almost 70 years later, many are still going strong. Sure, some have moved to new locations, but others, Quincy's for example, are right where they've always been.
