The 7th Street Deli at 2232 North 7th Street in Grand Junction, Colorado has been something of a landmark for a solid 17 years. Chances are you've probably met with coworkers for an off-site meeting at the establishment.

Grand Junction's Home For 'Real Food. Real Fresh.'

The opening statement at the 7th Street Deli's official Facebook page reads, "Welcome to 7th Street Deli, Grand Junction's best deli proudly serving Craven's Coffee, hearty soups and fresh salads made daily, and tasty breakfast and lunch sandwiches!"

What Do They Serve?

Peruse their menu on their office website, and you'll find a healthy list of specialty sandwiches. Menu items include:

• Bird In Hand (chicken breast with melted Asiago cheese, roasted red pepper)
• New York, New York (grilled double-decker with hot corned beef and brisket, Swiss cheese, and Remoulade on rye)
• West Slope Cider Brisket (brisket with apple cider barbecue sauce, grilled onions, and melted white Cheddar on a toasted Kaiser roll)
• BLAT (classic BLT with fresh sliced avocado and mayo on toasted sourdough)
• Little Debbie (smoked turkey with lettuce, tomato, avocado, muenster cheese, and chipotle mayo on toasted sourdough)

Of course, the menu also includes a variety of soups and salads. Soups can be ordered by the cup, bowl, or even by the quart.

It's with heavy hearts that we share the news: 7th Street Deli, a cornerstone of Grand Junction's culinary scene, is bidding farewell att the end of June. June 21st will be our last day.

 

For 17 years, 7th Street Deli has been more than just a place to grab a sandwich; it's been a gathering spot, a community hub, and a home away from home for many. From our mouthwatering sandwiches to the warm hospitality, we hope we have left an indelible mark on your hearts and taste buds

 

Whether you're a long-time regular or someone who stumbled upon us, you've undoubtedly experienced the magic of 7th Street Deli. And while it's sad to go, let's take a moment to celebrate the memories made, the friendships formed, and the delicious meals shared within those cozy walls.

They planned to close the business and liquidate everything: the inventory, furnishings, cash registers, even Mr. Margaret if he stood still too long. Well, that was the plan, anyway.

Word hit the street Mad Margaret's would be closing, and the news found its way to the right set of ears. An interested party got the message and stepped in with an offer to purchase the business. The rest is Grand Junction history.
