Where Are Colorado’s Highest and Lowest Points in Mesa County?
Grand Junction and Mesa County Colorado could build an Alpine Slide connecting its highest point to its lowest point, and it would be a slide that would descend more than 6,900 feet from one side of the county to the other. This would be the most epic ride in Colorado history.

The highest elevation point in Mesa County, Colorado, is probably where you would expect it to be. The highest point on the Grand Mesa is a place known as Crater Peak, but Crater Peak is in Delta County. The highest point on the Grand Mesa here in Mesa County is Leon Peak, which sits at 11,236 feet.
The Lowest Point in Mesa County
To find the lowest point in Mesa County, you must head toward the Colorado-Utah state line. Bring a raft or your favorite swimming trunks because the lowest point is part of the Colorado River bed West of Fruita. At one point the river dips to 4,330 feet making it the lowest point in our county.
