20 Western Colorado Eyesores That Annoy Us The Most
Remember the ugly RV eyesore that used to stand out along I-70 on the edge of Grand Junction? It was removed as part of an initiative to get rid of what were called "illegal transient campsites." This effort included campsites near the Colorado River between 32 ½ Road and C ½ Road.

Grand Junction Eye Sores
Winner and still champion: The empty Far East restaurant on North Avenue. How has it sat empty for so long? Plenty of Grand Junction residents have some really good ideas on what could be done with the space instead of letting it collect graffiti. Kudos to Facebook user Patricia Paz who said the city could easily get rid of the building and create a parking structure for Stocker Stadium and Suplizio Field.

Grand Junction's Second Place Eyesores
In second place for 'Worst Eyesore' behind the empty Far East building is the old Sutherland's building, which is known as the Spirit of Halloween building these days. We heard from plenty of people who already hate the new look of 4th Street in downtown Grand Junction and want to include it on the list of eyesores. That answer gains traction because the city spent the money making a change that the residents tell us they didn't ask for.
Noteworthy Answers
Facebook user Sherry Moon mentioned the old dilapidated motel in Orchard Mesa with the fence around it that is used for campers. Fruita residents mention the old refinery which is now part of the Western Slope Industrial and Rail Park.
