When it comes to fun kids/families activities across Colorado, claw machines arcades are beginning to take off. In late 2024, one opened at Colorado Mills; by the fall of 2026, one will be open in Loveland.

Texas-Based Claw Machine Arcade Bringing First Location to Colorado

Based out of Plano, Texas, the first Claw Zania opened in Richardson, Texas in late 2024. Just over a year later, the family-owned business had five additional franchised locations in Texas with more and more slated to open. The Loveland location will be the first one in the state of Colorado.

This arcade runs different than other claw machine arcades, as not only will the staff come over and move things around in the cage for you (to help you win,) you can keep the prize you win (toy/stuffy) or trade up for a bigger one. In an interview with FortWorthReport.com, one of the co-owners stated:

You can never win those big massive toys at the State Fair, but here you have a really good chance.

Claw Zania in Loveland at The Yards

I just happened to be driving around The Yards in late February, to see what was new, and boom - coming right next to (or very close to) the upcoming Children's Museum of Northern Colorado, will be Colorado's first Claw Zania.

How convenient is that? A family could have a whole day at The Yards: The museum, the claw arcade, then cinnamon rolls. Of course claw machines are for folks of all ages (like grandparents:) who doesn't like to win at a claw machine?
