I have not been to Casa Bonita in years, and I have yet to experience the renovation that has taken place during the COVID-19 pandemic. There has been a lot of hype about the renovation, including the new menu, but it seems like you need to be in some special club to get reservations at this iconic Colorado Mexican restaurant.

When I lived in other states, such as Florida and Oregon, and the subject of being from Colorado got brought up, it always landed on the historic pink building known for Black Bart's Cave and the cliff divers. Everyone always wanted to know:

Yes, it is certainly a real restaurant, and the sopapillas were endless. It has been quite some time since Casa Bonita in Lakewood reopened, and it finally appears that some of us might be able to actually get a reservation.

Casa Bonita announced that reservations are open for summer 2025, and you can now see if your preferred date and time are available.

Casa Bonita is currently accepting reservations through September 7, 2025.
