Wildfires seem to be a part of living in Colorado. Hot, dry weather and the right ignition is the recipe for wildfires spreading fast in the state of Colorado. One Colorado city is doing something about it and offering help to protect its residents.

A new program is launching in the Front Range city called the Wildfire Resilience Assistance Program and will help property owners of private land create more wildfire-resistant homes and properties.

Wildfire resilience in the City of Boulder is a shared responsibility, and any work done by community members in these high-risk areas contributes to the resilience and safety of the whole community.

Said Boulder Fire-Rescue Chief, Michael Calderazzo, in a Boulder County press release.
