There is nothing quite like being on the water in Colorado. The best way to do that is on a boat. With so many lakes, the options are pretty much endless when it comes to water recreation.

Like automotive vehicles, boats also need to be registered in the state of Colorado. Before hitting the water in 2025, boat owners will have to do something before getting their registration for their boats. Colorado Parks and Wildlife is requiring boat owners to complete a survey to get the 2025 registration for watercraft.

The survey is to ensure that Colorado boats have correct and compliant requirements with the U.S. Coast Guard. The specific information will be collected on every vessel, not just in Colorado, but the United States. Some of the information includes what type of vessel the boat is and clarification on how it is used.
