There have been many wildfires in Colorado in the past week. Unfortunately, homes and lives have been lost due to the fires.

We are incredibly thankful for the fire crews and first responders in Colorado who go above and beyond to keep us safe.

Sometimes it is difficult to find positivity when there is destruction across the state. However, stories like this one might inspire a smile.

Jefferson County's Quarry Fire began last month. The fire is not as large as the Alexander Mountain Fire and Stone Canyon Fire but is still incredibly destructive.

According to Denver 7, the cat was completely covered in fire retardant. We can not imagine what this cat has been through, but we are happy to see that the cat was reunited with its owner.

As a pet owner myself, I could not imagine how painful it must have felt to think that your pet has been lost due to a wildfire. Thankfully, one pet has been returned to their owners.

Quarry Fire in Jefferson County, Colorado

All mandatory evacuations were lifted on August 6. At the time of writing, the Quarry Fire is 578 acres and is 82% contained.

August 8 Update: Great news, the Quarry fire is now 100 percent contained.
