Now that Texas-based Buc-ee's has been open in Colorado for a few weeks, we would probably bet that hundreds of thousands of people have visited the gas station since the grand opening on March 18.

Food, snacks, clothing, home decor, and all that cartoon-beaver branded merch, there is a little bit of everything at the Johnstown Buc-ee's in Northern Colorado. While I have tried a handful of various items from Buc-ee's, there is one item that I always end up buying when I venture into the store. Beaver Nuggets.
Those sweet little corn-puffed treats are addicting as well as the other variations of the snack. Buc-ee's has been long hailed as the ultimate stop for road trip snacks, a place to stretch, and fill up your ride with gas before venturing further down the road. Much like our cars, we need fuel to keep going and Buc-ee's has a vast array of snacks and food to keep you full for your drive.

While I was getting gas from Buc-ee's yesterday, I had an idea. Why not do the same thing with the Beaver Nuggets? They have all of the ingredients, so I bought them to try my hand at Colorado-style Beaver Nuggets.

Do you want to make your Colorado-style Beaver Nuggets a 10 salty to 1 sweet ratio? You can do that too. You can essentially find the best flavor combination that works for you.
There is one more hack for the ultimate road trip snack. If you like the spice, you can kick it up a notch by replacing the White Cheddar Buc-ee's Nuggies with the White Cheddar Habanero Buc-ee's Nuggies to have a three-flavor profile combo. Sweet, salty, and spicy. That is probably going to be my go-to when doing this road trip snack hack.
