For as long as I can remember, I have despised getting a haircut. I would rather make a trip to the dentist's office and sit in the chair to have my teeth cleaned than sit in a barber's chair.

Bad Haircuts Have Given Me Trust Issues

I know that seems kind of weird and illogical, but it is what it is. When you spend good money on a haircut only to have to put a hat on to cover up the mess, or shave your head because the cut is crooked, you start to get a complex about having this grooming habit done.

The average haircut price for a barber in Colorado now is around $45. Add a beard trim to the tab, and you are spending even more. While this might not be a lot of money for some people, it's a lot for me, especially when you have to get a haircut and beard trim every month.

Social media can be used as a great marketing tool for all sorts of products and services. Recently, I went down the barbershop TikTok rabbit hole and saw a barber who blew me away with his cuts. Clean lines, even fades, and complete transformations of mops on top of heads, turning hair into a work of art.

Meet The Barber Linc in Denver, Colorado

Lincoln Lafrombois has been cutting hair in Colorado for over a decade and runs his own small business in southeast Denver, near Cherry Creek Reservoir. Since I had a couple of weeks off to rest and recharge during the holidays, I decided it was time to get a haircut from The Barber Linc. Thankfully, he had a few openings to choose from, and I instantly booked my appointment.

I will admit, I was a bit nervous to have my hair cut, and I told him that. Spending hard-earned money and getting a bad result is a hard pill to swallow, and I have taken a lot of them. He understood and talked with me for about 15 minutes before picking up any of his tools.

The Barber Linc's Process

I was in Lincoln's barber chair for nearly two hours. During that time, I did not get to see what he was doing at all. Linc did the haircut first, and then my beard. When it came to the beard, I felt like I was doing physical therapy for my neck.

Looking to the left and all the way down, proceeding to tilt my head higher and higher, then repeating the process to the right, and then facing forward. I could feel my beard changing at every step, but still didn't see the results.

When he was done cutting my hair and trimming my beard, he set up his phone once again to get my reaction. As you can see from my face in the video below, I was happy. Very happy with the results.

Was It Worth It?

When it was all said and done, I ended up paying $70, plus a tip, for this amazing haircut. I also drove 120 miles round-trip, too. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Will I be going back? Indeed. I instantly booked my next haircut while I was at Lincoln's barbershop and cannot wait to go back.

I know that driving from Northern Colorado down to Denver seems a bit excessive for a haircut, but it was totally worth it. If you have had to deal with a bad haircut and have a special occasion coming up, and want to look your best, I cannot say enough great things about going to see Lincoln and getting a haircut at his barbershop at 10200 East Girard Avenue in Denver. You certainly will not be disappointed.
