The most dangerous national park is Lake Mead in Nevada according to the Arizona Republic. This park sees about 5 million people per year and of that number, there are 145 deaths annually

On the other hand, the Wild and Trekking website has Grand Canyon National Park as the most dangerous park with 134 deaths and a visitor rate of a little less than 5 million visitors per year.

Are you scared yet? What if I added that five Utah National Parks are ranked among the most dangerous in the United States, according to Outforia.

  • Zion National Park is ranked in the top ten
  • Canyonlands is twenty-four on the list
  • Arches is at number thirty-one
  • Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef tie at number forty-two on the list of most dangerous national parks.

So lie low and don't disturb these dangerous national parks that are lurking around us. Why did we even let them into our backyard? Let alone celebrate them on our license plate.

Hold on, this just in. I'm being told that you are about a thousand times more likely to be born on leap day than die in the most dangerous national park, have a bigger chance of being struck by lightning and even more likely to meet the Pope.

Yes, I guess I was overreacting. But how dangerous would it be to meet the Pope on a stormy day on a boat at Lake Mead? OK, yeah never mind.
