The Colorado Avalanche are off to a hot start this season.

The Avs opened up with four games at home and won every single one of them. The only question was if they could continue their dominance while on the road.

It turns out, for right now, the answer is yes. Colorado improved to 5-0 with a 6-3 win over the Washington Capitols on Monday night. Not only that, but Colorado showed some serious skill by scoring three goals on their first three shots of the game within 14 minutes.

The 5-0 start is the second-longest opening win streak in team history since moving to Colorado and overall the fourth in franchise history.
