The Grand Junction Rockies saw their longest winning streak of the season end Thursday with a 7-2 loss to the Billings Mustangs in the first game of a doubleheader.

The Rockies came back in the second game, with an 8-3 win and winning the series with Billings.

Thursday’s split puts the Grand Junction Rockies at two games up on Ogden and Idaho Falls with 21 games left to play in the season.

The Grand Junction Rockies will begin a 4-game series with Great Falls tonight at Suplizio Field. Game time is set for 6:35 p.m., with a fireworks display immediately following the game.
