In her honor, Grand Junction area animal lovers are pledging their support to carry on Betty White's lifelong endeavor.
Facing the Betty White Challenge
As you are no doubt aware, the legendary Betty White has passed away at the age of 99, only a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday.
You're probably also aware Betty White has been a lifelong animal advocate. According to Variety, White was a trustee of Morris Animal Foundation from 1971 to 2013. She also served as vice-president of their canine division from 1973 to 1982 and board president from 1982 to 1985. Then, in 2010, she provided the donation that established the Betty White Wildlife Fund. She also sponsored over 30 animal health studies on behalf of the organization.
Along comes 2022, and we have the "Betty White Challenge." Put simply, on January 17th, people all over the world will be donating $5 to an animal organization in Betty White's honor.
