Dick’s Sporting Goods Stops Selling ‘Assault-Style’ Rifles
In response to the Parkland, Fla. shooting, sporting goods retailer Dick's Sporting Goods will stop selling "assault-style" rifles.
In an open letter issued on Thursday, February 23, the nation's largest sporting retailer stated that they will ban the sales of "assault style" weapons, as well as restricting gun sales to those 21 and over and high-capacity magazines.
Dick's CEO, Ed Slack, made mention that the Parkland school shooter purchased a gun at a Dick's location --although that gun was not used-- he stated this was a "catalyst" for the action.
Dick's joins other companies that have cut ties with weapons and the NRA.
If you shop at Dick's, will you continue?
