The Next Time You’re in Denver Don’t Miss These Attractions
I'll admit, the one thing I loved the most about growing up on the Front Range, is the never-ending list of things to do when you're in Denver. There wasn't a day when I didn't have multiple things I could do or places to go.
Being a sports fan in Colorado gives you year-round entertainment.
Over a handful of College and University Sporting events to attend. Including the University of Colorado football games. Coach Prime is already changing the landscape in 2023.
But there is so much more than sports. Here are a few places to enjoy the next time you head over the big hill.
16th Street Mall 16th Street Downtown Denver
If you love to people-watch, there is no better place than the 16th Street Mall. Grab a bite to eat or a drink in the many outdoor cafes. At the south end of the 16th Street Mall, you will find two dozen shops and restaurants along with a dozen movie theaters. The north end is more pedestrian as it connects LoDo with LoHi, another neighborhood full of pubs and restaurants.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre 18300 W. Alameda Pkwy Morrison, CO
Hands down, The best place on the planet, according to yours truly, to see a concert. I was fortunate enough to grow up just outside Morrison, Colorado. So I spent many summers hiking around the area and seeing great Rock shows like Billy Idol, U2, Sammy Hagar, and others. Take a stroll to the trading post just down the hill for the stage.
The view is not only breathtaking. But when the sky darkens and the Amphitheater fills up. Make sure you have your camera ready. The lights of the Rocks make for a brilliant photo op.
Denver Zoo 2300 Steele St. Denver, CO
I used to take my kids here at least once a month. But the best events to attend during the year are Zoo Lights and BOO At The Zoo. A weekend full of vendors giving away Candy to the kids. A costume-filled day of fun and one of the safest places to take your children for Halloween. Did you also know that visiting the Denver Zoo helps support Colorado's Wildlife Conservation efforts?
Larimer Square 1530 16th st. Denver, CO
Dine, shop, and gather with friends in Denver's historical Districts. Just around the corner from Comedy works, tasty Bistros, and pubs filled with fun-loving crowds. Larimer Square is not to missed, especially if you're a true foodie
