The Grand Junction Police Department is searching for people who may know the identity and whereabouts of two men involved in a brutal assault.

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County reports on Saturday, April 28 at 1:45 a.m. police were responding to an assault in progress near 28 Road and Belford Avenue. When they arrived they found the victims of the assault with serious injuries.

Just prior to officers arriving at the scene, the suspects, described as two Hispanic males in their 20s or 30s, had fled in a gold-colored SUV with a temporary license plate. The police report also says the suspects drove up, got out of the SUV, assaulted the victims, and then drove away.

If you have information that can identify the suspects in this case or witnessed the attack and didn't speak with the officers who responded, you can make an anonymous report by calling Crime Stoppers of Mesa County at 970-241-7867.

If the information you give leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 without ever revealing your identity. Anonymous reports can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website.
