Colts’ Owner Eager to Face Manning’s Broncos in Payoffs
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Jim Irsay doesn't know how much longer Peyton Manning intends to play.
The Colts owner just hopes his team is still playing next week.
During a 30-minute news conference Tuesday, Irsay told reporters that he would like to see the Colts take another big step in the playoffs this season. In 2012, they lost in the wild-card round. Last year, they lost in the divisional round. If Indy can beat Manning's Broncos on Sunday, the Colts would advance to the AFC championship game.
While Irsay reiterates that he would have liked to win more than one Super Bowl during Manning's tenure in Indy, he also calls the expectations on Manning unrealistically high.
