Last weekend officially kicked off one of my favorite times of the year, and the time of year with the most breathtaking views of Colorado's foliage, fall.

Growing up in Eagle, there was no shortage of great views of Colorado's fall colors. One of my favorite spots to drive up to is just south of Eagle, Sylvan Lake. Not only is Sylvan Lake an amazing place to go camping, fishing or hiking, but because it's so hidden, it was a perfect area to experience nature with a good amount of privacy. Sylvan is full of Aspen trees and makes for quite a nice destination when the leaves begin to change.

I later spent about ten years in Pueblo, and even though The Steel City is hardly known for its nature, just south of town is another great spot to check out the fall colors, San Isabel. San Isabel is a natural forest and much like Sylvan Lake boasts activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, and is full of beautiful views, especially in the fall.

Here are some recent shots of Colorado's fall colors in full effect.
