As I've mentioned many times before, I'm an indoor kid. What that means is that I prefer to stay at home, in my house, as often as possible. That's especially true in the winter, where stupid-cold temperatures and random weather make even the simplest outdoor task an annoying chore between November and April.

Fortunately, we're getting to the end of the snowy season. Though most normal people would see spring as a great opportunity to get outside, maybe a have a cookout or go to the park, we indoor kids mostly just see the season change as a reminder to turn the heat down. That doesn't mean there's nothing to celebrate in the season's change, it just doesn't mean you have to go outside. Why not have a movie marathon, instead? Here are 4 movies set in Colorado that are perfect for that very activity.

Red Dawn (1984)

I don't know if you've noticed, but the Russians are in the news again, and I don't think they're on our Christmas card list this year. Why not use current events as an excuse to go back in time to one of the most '80's movies that has ever existed? While it might hit a little close to home (see what I did, there?), it is also incredibly dumb, so just turn your brain off. Besides, you can't watch Point Break all the time; you have to mix things up every now and then.

Day of the Dead (2008)

2008's Day of the Dead is by no means a great movie. In fact, of the many zombie flicks that came out during the first decade of the new millennium, it was actually one of the worst. However, as recent trends continue to prove, it doesn't have to be. This is another one you don't have to think to hard about - perfect if you love small Colorado towns being overrun by some kind of horde.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut

It's not a list of Colorado anything without an appearance from the kids from South ParkBigger, Longer & Uncut is, in a lot of ways, the epitome of everything that Comedy Central's hit show is all about: satire and poop jokes. If you really want to have a good night, add in the two video games for a total South Park evening.

Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead

I mean... it has 'Denver' in the title. Why else do you think it made this list?
