(AP) — Xavien Howard's 30-yard interception return for a touchdown highlighted a dominating defensive effort by the Miami Dolphins, and they snapped a five-game losing streak by beating Denver 35-9. The Broncos lost their eighth game in a row. Miami scored two safeties in a game for the first time in franchise history and held Denver to 1 for 13 on third-down conversions. Kenyan Drake rushed for 120 yards for Miami on 23 carries, both career highs.

DENVER (AP) — Tyler Seguin sparked Dallas with two early goals and the Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche 7-2 for their fifth consecutive victory. Brett Ritchie also had two goals, and Jason Spezza and Greg Pateryn each added one for the Stars, who haven't lost since a 3-0 setback at Colorado on Nov. 22.

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. (AP) — Marcel Hirscher of Austria stormed back from a first-run deficit to win a World Cup giant slalom race as rival Ted Ligety struggled. Hirscher finished in a combined time of 2 minutes, 37.30 seconds to show he's quickly getting back up to speed after breaking his ankle in August. Ligety was second after the first pass through the course, but he made several small mistakes on his final run to slip to seventh.

LAKE LOUISE, Alberta (AP) — Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein won the women's World Cup super-G for her first Lake Louise victory. After crashing in the season-opening downhill Friday, American star Lindsey Vonn fell again but was able to ski to the bottom.

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Jordan Davis scored 27 points and Anthony Johnson had 18 and Northern Colorado took control in the second half for an 87-75 win against Division II Western State Colorado. The Mountaineers led the Bears 43-39 at halftime, but Northern Colorado (6-3) took control with a 14-3 run with all five players on the floor scoring at least a basket for a 53-46 lead.
