Colorado Mesa Sports Schedule for Weekend of November 14-16
Colorado Mesa University will definitely be busy this weekend, especially with its sports teams.
So busy, in fact, that Colorado Mesa’s football team changed the start time of Saturday’s game in order to accommodate the volleyball team. The Lady Mavs are hosting the RMAC Tournament semifinals and championship game Friday and Saturday at Brownson Arena.
Here’s a look at the game schedule for CMU sports this weekend:
Men's basketball

Colorado Mesa's men's basketball team travels to Austin, Texas to compete in the Heartland Conference Shootout at St. Edward's University. The Mavericks will play Dallas Baptist University at 4:00 p.m. Friday and then play against host St. Edward’s University at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
Women's basketball

Colorado Mesa's women's basketball team will travel to Lakewood to compete in the Colorado Christian University Tournament. The Lady Mavs will take on Palm Beach Atlantic University at 5:00 p.m. Friday amd then face off against #3 Drury University at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
Volleyball

Colorado Mesa's volleyball team is hosting the RMAC Tournament semifinals and championship game at Brownson Arena this weekend.
Colorado Mines will play against Metro State in the first RMAC semifinal game at 4:00 p.m. Friday. Colorado Mesa will then take on Regis in the second semifinal game at 7:00 p.m. Friday.
Friday's winners will compete in the RMAC Tournament championship game at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Brownson Arena.
Football
Stocker Stadium, 12th Street and North Avenue in Grand Junction1-800-410-MAVS (6287)
Saturday marks the last regular season game for Colorado Mesa as the Mavericks host Western State at Stocker Stadium. The game was originally scheduled as an evening game, but with CMU's volleyball team hosting the RMAC tournament this weekend, the football game has been moved to a 2:00 p.m. start on Saturday.
Men's soccer
Walker Field, 12th Street and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction1-800-410-MAVS (6287)
Colorado Mesa is hosting its first game of the NCAA Tournament Sunday afternoon at Walker Field. The Mavericks will take on Midwestern State, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
Swimming (men's and women's)

Colorado Mesa's swimming teams were originally scheduled to take on Adams State on Friday, but that match has since been cancelled.
At this writing, Colorado Mesa will still take on Colorado School of Mines as planned at 12:00 noon Saturday in Golden.
Wrestling

Colorado Mesa travels to Greeley this weekend. The Mavericks will participate in the Old Chicago Northern Colorado Open all day Saturday.
