A fight at a Colorado convenience store is now being treated as a murder case as one of the parties involved succumbed to his injuries.

The Fight at Colorado Convenience Store

The fight broke out on Wednesday, February 2nd at a 7-Eleven convenience store located in Colorado Springs off of South Nevada and Cimarron. 

An employee of the convenience store witnessed two men fighting and called 911 to report it. Unfortunately, the police did not get there in enough time as one of the men was reportedly beating the other mercilessly after he had already been knocked out.

However, the man did stop beating the other man after the police had shown up and forced him to stop.

Now a Colorado Murder Case

The suspect in the crime, Tyrek Williams II was arrested following police arriving on the scene. He was initially held on a $50,000 bond at the El Paso Criminal Justice Center but that amount has since changed along with the charges he is facing.

Over three weeks after the incident, the victim of the attack, identified as 56-year-old Andrew Dominguez, succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital this past Friday, February 25, 2022. Because of this, the charges against Williams are now much more serious as the case is now being treated as a homicide.

Williams remains in custody and his bond has now been raised to a whopping $200,000 because of the seriousness of the new charges.

The time and place of any of Williams' court dates are unknown at this time.
