The Colorado Mesa Mavericks won their first game of the RMAC Tournament Thursday night at Suplizio Field.

The Mavs got a complete game, six-hit shut out from Matt Delay and home runs from Montrose High School graduate Nate Robertson and Austin Wallingford as CMU defeated Colorado School of Mines 6-0. It was the Mavs 8th win in 9 games this season against the Orediggers.

The #1 seeded Mavs face the number three seed CSU Pueblo today (May 10) at 3:30 at Suplizio Field. If the Mavs win they advance to the possible championship game Saturday at noon. A loss by the Mavericks would put them back in action tonight at 7:00 tonight against the winner of today's earlier game between New Mexico Highlands and Colorado Mines.
