It took more than two years to do it, but the Central Warriors accomplished something Friday night that has long eluded them – a win.

Central finally broke a 21-game losing streak by defeating Vista Peak Prep 27-26, and the Warriors were able to do so on the road.

Grand Junction also won their first game of the season Friday by defeating local rival Fruita Monument 58-45 at Stocker Stadium. And Palisade continues to be undefeated as the Bulldogs won their game Saturday against Pueblo Central, 17-14.
