Joy joined Townsquare Media in June of 2015. Her previous experience includes nearly 20 years in television broadcasting, the last seven of which she spent at KGWN-Television in Cheyenne. A Wyoming native, Joy graduated from Lingle-Fort Laramie High School in 1994. She was recruited to play basketball for Bethel College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. During her playing time, Bethel made two National Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 1996. Joy graduated from Bethel in May of 1997, with degrees in Media Communication and Speech Communication and minors in Art and Mass Communication. One of Joy's passions is photography. She was awarded an Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Heartland Chapter in July of 2015 and has received eight Wyoming Association of Broadcasters Awards, including five for Best Photography.
