Arrest Made In Grand Junction Murder
A 20-year-old Grand Junction man has been arrested and placed in custody for the murder of a local teenager.
Israel Massingill is now facing first and second-degree murder charges in the shooting death of 17-year-old Kiera Quintana. According to KKCO, the shooting took place in the parking lot of City Market in Orchard Mesa Saturday morning.
Quintana was pronounced dead at the scene with a single gunshot to her head.
Reports say that the two knew each other, but are still not sure what led up to the incident.
This was not Massingill's first encounter with local police.

- One count prohibited use of a weapon
- One count possession of drug paraphernalia
- One count illegal possession/consumption of marijuana by a person under the age of 21
- Vehicular assault while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
